The Qampa peak is one of the mountains of the Vilcanotas range, located to southeast of the Cusco city in the province of Quispicanchis. Is a majestic land whre we can observe diversity biological and cultural to the high andean like vicuña, vizcacha, andean fox, Cara cara cordillerano, peregrine falcon and others.....

One place where still remain the customs of their ancestors, in the use of his clothes, veneration of Apus. The Ausangate peak is a highest and most important mountain in Cusco, and is the protective deity of Andes.

The most important economic activity is the cattle raising, like Alpacas, sheeps and Llamas, for to take advantage of wool to create his clothes and surpluses to economic income.

Day 1: Cusco - Pacchanta- Base Camp
Day 2: Base Camp - Summit - Base Camp
Day 3: Base Camp - Pacchanta - Cusco

Day 01: Cusco - Pacchanta- Base Camp

Around 7am they will pick up at your hotel. We go to the Southeast by the interoceanic road that goes to Puerto Maldonado, we pass through the city of Urcos and in approximately 3 hours we arrive at Ocongate, where we can buy things that we forgot in Cusco. Then we take a detour to Pacchanta which is 45 minutes from Ocongate, Pacchanta we meet the muleteers and cook of the expedition, after lunch we begin the trek 4 hours to the base camp, with breathtaking views of the main snow-capped regions of Cusco like: Ausangate 6382 m (20938 ft), Cayangate 6110 m (20045 ft) and others, always accompanied by llamas and alpacas. Already in the base camp will be given the equipment of high personal mountain (harnesses, crampons, Piolets, helmets, gaiters, gloves), the guide will teach them the correct form of use of the equipment, how to act in a glacier and have them ready for promotion. Dinner is at 6 pm, then everyone to rest.

Day 02: Base Camp - Summit - Base Camp

We leave 3 am and we will have a light breakfast, it is necessary to attack a mountain in the morning. We leave the base camp and in 2 hours of climbing by moraine we arrive at the glacier, where we prepare with the mountain equipment to enter the glacier. In approximately 3 hours in glacier we arrive at the summit of snowy Qampa that is to 5500 m (18044 ft). We will be half an hour at the summit resting and enjoying the high Andean landscapes, surrounded by a great part of the snowy mountains of Vilcanota. The descent to the base camp will be approximately 3 hours, where we will have lunch and have the whole afternoon free to rest after an intense day, the special dinner is at 6 pm.

Day 03: Base Camp - Pacchanta - Cusco

We leave 9 am towards Pacchanta after breakfast, we arrive to Pacchanta in 3 hours where we have the option to enter the thermal baths and buy handicrafts from Pacchanta and then have lunch and return to the city of Cusco where we will be approximately 6 pm in their respective hotels
